YOUR SUMA (IBI) BILL IS DUE NOW! This is a reminder, you have until 10th October to pay property related bills that are due through the “Suma” office.
IBI (Impuesto Sobre Bienes Inmuebles); Often referred to locally as SUMA = Council Tax
Although the voluntary payment term is between 25th July and 10th October, the direct debit for the “Suma” (Council Tax) bill is usually debited from your bank account towards the end of September to the beginning of October. This payment is for the year starting from January through to December. If you sell your property at any time during the year, this bill will be divided between the home seller and the buyer.
If you haven’t set this payment up as a direct debit, you can pay it voluntarily online with a credit card directly through the SUMA website: suma.es To make things even easier, their website is in English too!
