WHY ISN’T MY PROPERTY ELIGIBLE FOR A TOURIST LICENSE?

Just because your property is in a holiday area, doesn't mean you'll be granted a tourist license to rent it out for short term holidays.  There are several reasons why this might be the case.

Firstly, local Town Halls often aim to protect the business of local hotels.  They may deny tourist licenses to maintain the economic stability of these establishments.

Additionally, if your property is located in a predominantly residential community, there may be resistance from residents who prefer a stable environment without the constant influx of holiday makers.  Such communities have the power to deny tourist licenses to maintain their desired living conditions.

These factors combined, can make it challenging to secure a tourist license, even in prime holiday locations.  Understanding these local regulations and community preferences is crucial before considering purchasing a property for holiday rentals.
