SELLING? WHAT DOES THE “DAY OF COMPLETION” MEAN?

Sold your property? The next step is agreeing on a day for completion. The completion date must be agreed between both buyer and seller. This will be the day you will receive payment for the property, which also means you have to vacate it too.

On the agreed day of completion, you will go a Notary to sign the house over to the new buyers. They will make the payment to you, and in turn you hand over all keys to them. After you’ve been to the Notary, you will not be allowed back in the house, so you need to make sure everything you agreed to take, has already been removed.
